Introduces power semiconductor devices and power electronic converters, including single-phase and three-phase ac/dc rectifiers, ac voltage controllers, ac/dc converters and dc/ac inverters. Prerequisites: ENEE 3720 and ENEE 3720L with minimum grades of C or department head approval. Corequisite: ENEE 4600L or department head approval. Supplementary course fee assessed.

ENEE 4600L - Power Electronics Laboratory |
Performance of experiments in the following areas: Buck Converter, Switching Characteristic of MOSFET and Diode, Boost Converter, Buck-Boost Converter, Voltage-Mode Control, Peak Current Mode Control, Flyback Converter, and Forward Converter. Corequisites: ENEE 4600 or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed. Supplementary Course Fee Assessed.
