Algebra-based introduction to forces and uniform motion, conservation principles, sound and thermodynamics, with applications to problems of modern science and technology. Every semester. Lecture 3 hours. Prerequisite: MATH 1830 or MATH 1720 (1720 preferred) or Math ACT 28 or above or department head approval. Corequisite: Physics 1030L laboratory or department head approval.
