EMBA 6110 - Becoming a Leader |
This course is designed to provide an in-depth coverage of the theories, skills and cutting-edge ideas related to effective leadership practice in business and not-for-profit organizations. Topics that will be examined include psychological drivers of leadership, leading with vision, forming strategy, leading culture change, the role of communication in leadership, leading teams, leading with integrity, the intangible dimensions of leadership, and innovation. An in-depth analysis of each student's leadership strengths and weaknesses, and the development of an individualized leadership development program are the primary outcomes of this course. Open to EMBA majors only. Credit not allowed toward the degree in both EMBA 6110 and MGT 5260.
