Principles of classical (Mendelian), molecular, and population genetics including patterns of inheritance, genetic code and regulation of protein synthesis, recombinant DNA techniques, and evolution of the genome at the population and molecular levels. Prerequisites: BIOL 1120 and BIOL 1130 with minimum grades of C, CHEM 1120 and CHEM 1120L, or department head approval.
