Description
Which components of this class—such as lecture, discussion, assignments, exercises, and exams—best helped you learn?  
Edit Dr. Wilson's class is outstanding in every way. Every class period is carefully planned to present new material and reinforce material that has been previously taught. In critiquing student work anonymously that is projected on a screen during class, Dr. Wilson corrects student errors with gentleness and tact while highlighting what the student did correctly. This particular technique was very helping in reinforcing the musical concepts being taught.
Edit He is a very versatile teacher in that he uses lecture, examples, participation at the white board, and is always very willing to answer questions. He explains things to us as if we were children, but doesn't make us feel like children.
Edit Textbook, Anthology book, and looking over other homework assignments done by classmates was helpful.

Edit I believe I learned a lot in this class because of the excellent teaching by Dr. Wilson. Often the textbook was confusing and unclear. Dr. Wilson presented the material in such a way that it was easily understandable and made sense. Also, Dr. Wilson has a keen sense of humor and his witty interjections livened the excellent presentation of the material.

Edit Yes. My knowledge of music theory has expanded tremendously and I know it is due to Dr. Wilson's fine teaching of the material.

Edit The UTC music department is fortunate to have this outstanding teacher teaching beginning music students Theory 1 and 2. He provides every student an excellent foundation for further music study.
Edit Working in groups at the whiteboard to create four part compositions was helpful.
