Dr. Wilson is extremely knowledgeable. He understands the material from many point of views, which helps for him to help many students with various background in Theory. |

The organization of the class is great: instruction on new concepts and how they build on current concepts; homework that requires students to practice new concepts; instructor feedback on homework; online practice tests. |

Well, I learned mostly through the assignments, just figuring things out by myself. Lecture was helpful, though I absolutely DESPISE getting up and putting things on the board.... |

What best helped me learn was my teacher's ability to adapt to the class. He knew what we needed and what was the easiest and most effective way to learn, and did his best to teach. He put up the effort to teach us and make sure we understood, which made us want to put up the effort. |

Honestly the time. I have a hard time focusing in the mornings, especially at 8. If the class was offered at a later time, say 10, I feel like I would have much more motivation. |

This instructor is probably the best I have ever had! He knows how to take a very difficult and complex subjects like music theory and break it into understandable chunks so that students are constantly challenged but not overwhelmed. He is a fabulous teacher! He quickly adapted to the different learning styles of some of the students and offered more board work with great feedback and class discussion. |

Definitely, Dr. Wilson took the time to explain things in different ways and helped give individual attention. |

I continue to learn a lot in this class. All the elements for learning are in place and used to good advantage for the students. |

I do feel that I learned in this class. I know for a fact that I have improved musically because of the class. There are still things that I do now understand, but that's simply because I need to spend more time on it. |

I feel that under Dr. Wilson's teaching, I learned a lot. I've had courses in high school that taught me the same material as this class, but Dr. Wilson still found a way to teach me something new on most days as the semester went on. |

Dr. Wilson is, if not the best, one of the best professors at UTC. He's a genius, very friendly, and just easy to get along with. He mixes humor with seriousness in just a perfect way that allows him to reach out to students. |
